RECLASSIFICATION OF DRILLING RIG «SHELF-8»

In 1997 CJSC «BARS», commissioned by JSC «Kverner Vyborg Shipyard» participated in the refit and reclassification of the Russian floating drilling rig «Shelf-8» to the class of the Norwegian classification society DNV.

The company had to install additional metal constructions, increasing the strength of the FDR, and check 100 % of welds due to the requirements of DNV.
