REPAIR OF SUPERTANKER «MARI PRIMA»

In 1996, the company received an order on the repair of a Greek supertanker «Mari Prima» with a displacement of 60000 tons.

The uniqueness of this work was that within a very short period of time, without prior training, it was necessary to replace about 200 tons of metal constructions in the cargo holds and ballast tanks at a height of 20 meters.

After the inspection and customer»s approval of the scope of work, the repair was being performed round the clock. The contract terms that counted with twenty days was conditioned up to the day.
